“I received one of Impact’s backpacks at a tailgate even I attended in South Village during the fall semester of my junior year. From the bag, I could tell what kind of organization they were and joined their mailing list. Months passed before I attended any meetings, but an email I got in early November caught my attention. It was for their Christmas Angel program. I was interested in participating so I went to my first meeting. Their teaching on Christ interested me so I continued to attend the meetings after this to find out more about him and if I wanted Jesus in my life. It was a rough couple of months. Kerry met with me and another student for discipleship meetings during winter break and I ultimately decided to give my life to Christ during Impact’s Spring Retreat. It’s incredible to go back and look at how a simple backpack was able to make the initial step that led to changing my life!”

“I received an Impact backpack when I went to a Week of Welcome even at South Village during my junior year at FGCU. I filled out the connection card when I got the backpack and started receiving their emails about events and meetings. That October, I ran into a campus evangelist who got me thinking about God and Christianity. The emails from Impact kept coming, and I finally decided to go to one of their Dinner and Devotion meetings in November. While there, I met Kerry. Jana and I went to a couple more meeting that semester as well as the Christmas party. We were able to meet with Kerry over winter break so he could helps us both with some of the questions we had about Jesus, God, and Chritianity. I learned so much about the Bible and began to read more on my own. In January, I decided to put my faith in Christ and be baptized!”
