MEGAN GAMBINO, CHAIR
Megan Gambino has had the full Impact experience. She initially encountered ICM while earning a Public Relations degree from Washington State University (Go Cougs!). She was involved with CARE Groups and BEMA discipleship. After finishing her studies, Megan interned under Marty Solomon with the Palouse team. Megan then joined the staff and began raising funds to be an Associate Campus Minister. During the fundraising season Megan went on the BEMA trip to Israel and Turkey. Outside of an ancient amphitheater in Ephesus, she was commissioned to "go". After three years with ICM, Megan moved to Portland, OR to pursue outreach efforts with persons experiencing homelessness. In that transition, she was asked to join Impact's Board of Directors.
Megan may no longer be staff, but she still aims to embody Impact's mission to pursue, model, and teach intimacy with Christ. She currently resides in Raleigh, NC with her handsome and passionate husband, Chris, and their joyfully busy one-year-old son, Josiah.

David Sewell brings a long history of accounting to our Board. He has worked in both private and public position and is currently the Corperate Controller for a 49,000 person company. Though David has been working in accounting since 1989, his time with Campus Ministry has been even longer. David was a student at Michigan State University when he was introduced to and became very active in the Michigan Christian Campus Ministry of which Dean Trune (Impact's founder) was the leader. It was during this time that David developed a passion for campus ministry. When Dean founded Impact Campus Ministries (then Impact Ministries International) in 1995, he asked David to join the Board and he has served in this capacity every since.
David is married to Karmelita and together they have two children: Rachel, 9, and David, 11. They reside in Largo, FL and enjoy many activities together as a family. You'll often find them busy with scouting or school activities. However, David has a love of scuba-diving and is enjoying sharing this love with his son. Their family can also be found most years taking a cruise vacation where they can get away and simply enjoy being with each other.
Ellen Luke brings a lifetime of administrative experience and spiritual passion to the Impact Board. Ellen is the Comptroller of Frontier Sales Inc, a Manufacturer’s Representative Sales Agency that she and her husband Dave began in 1996. Ellen also served several years as a Forwarding Agent for Pioneer Bible Translators, carrying out all financial tasks for missionaries to Papua New Guinea.
While earning an Architecture degree at the University of Oregon, Ellen and Dave were charter students with the University Christian Fellowship. This ministry had significant and formative impact on their lives. Ellen understands firsthand the spiritual significance of college campus ministry. She became involved with Impact Campus Ministries as a champion of Bill Westfall at Boise State, later becoming a Board member, and recently becoming the Director of Administration.
Ellen has been married to Dave for 38 years. They have raised five children, four who are a sibling group adopted from Russia, and have eight grandchildren. The Luke’s are currently traveling full time around the west in a 40’ motorhome. Recently, Ellen and Dave have joined their son, Nathan, to form NxNW Relays, a company that produces running events, including the Spokane to Sandpoint Relay and The Alaska Relay. Ellen enjoys running a small Mary Kay cosmetics business, and looks forward to gardening, quilting, and clanging about a well-designed kitchen when there are no longer wheels under her house.
