VISION

Impact the U. Impact the World.

MISSION

We exist to pursue, model, and teach intimacy with God on the American university campus, in Christian community, impacting the world with God’s redemptive story of grace and reconciliation of humanity through faith in Jesus.

CORE VALUES

As we work to accomplish our mission and carry out our vision, both individually and organizationally, we are driven by these core values:

  • We value “passion for God.” We are committed to prayer and obedient to God’s Word, the Bible.

  • We value community with one another. We believe God created community (fellowship) and commands us to live in it with one another—holding each other accountable and doing ministry in teams.

  • We value high character and integrity. We believe our staff should reflect God’s character as His representatives in the world.

  • We value an attitude of excellence. We are committed to doing ministry to the best of our ability as an expression of our love for God. This includes raising the funds necessary to follow God’s calling in our ministry.

  • We value connection with the local church. We believe we should be connected to the church in obedience to Christ’s desires for us, as well as to maintain the necessary spiritual vitality in our lives.

  • We value compassion for people. We are committed to loving others, giving grace, and living in unity as a response to the love and grace God has shown us.

CULTURE

As we have lived out our mission, vision, and values, we have become passionate about and committed to some key ideas that have uniquely shaped our organization’s culture. These four distinctions make us who we are.

  • Our definition of SUCCESS: We firmly believe true success is developing intimacy with God, and Christian community with one another. Therefore, we define success accordingly:

Success is developing intimacy with God and community with each other—through a living relationship with Jesus. We believe an individual who is developing intimacy with God in the context of Christian community will make an impact for the Kingdom of God.

A team of individuals that is making an impact for the Kingdom of God will have a fruitful ministry. Though we do not aim for “making an impact” or “fruitful ministry,” we recognize that these two things will supernaturally occur when individuals develop intimacy with God in Christian community.

Ministry is the product of our love for God, and an expression of a heart devoted to God. We must not allow “ministry for God” to crowd “intimacy with God” out of our lives. We cannot control “making an impact” or “fruitful ministry,” but we have absolute control over developing intimacy with God and being devoted to one another.

  • Our commitment to TEAM: We firmly believe we can make a stronger impact for the kingdom of God, and see more fruitfulness in ministry, by working as teams of individuals.

  • Our commitment to PRAYER: We firmly believe prayer must be the foundation of everything we do. Prayer is how we listen to God, and how He aligns us to His will.

  • Our commitment to PERSONAL SUPPORT-RAISING: We firmly believe everyone in the organization should be involved in the raising of funds, and in the proper use of these funds, which have been given for our stewardship. Support-raising serves to deepen our trust in God.
