John Vollstedt

John is Impact’s Lead Campus Minister at the University of South Florida, in Tampa, FL.

After graduating high school in 1995, I enrolled at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida. While there I played baseball, was involved with a newly formed chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and eventually graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Administration. In the Spring of 2001, I began graduate work at the University of South Florida pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration. It was there that I became a part of Impact Christian Fellowship. I served 2 years as a student leader and, after graduating in the Spring of 2003, joined Impact’s ministry staff.

My wife, Taryn, also graduated from USF with a degree in Sign Language/Educational Interpreting. We were married in 2002 and have one son, Christian, who was born in 2008. Having been students on secular college campuses, Taryn and I both know firsthand the value of campus ministry in shaping the lives of young people for Christ.
