Brett Ricley
Brett is a campus ministry Recruit who is raising funds in order to serve with Impact Utah among the Salt Lake City, UT area colleges.
My wonderful wife Nicole and I were married June 7, 2008 and I consider her my best friend. She is definitely the most valuable asset to me and my ministry. She is everything I’m not and I am thankful to God for bringing her into my life. We have one awesome son, Jonathan, who was born December 30, 2010. He has already been a huge blessing as well as a test to our faith and parenting skills. Nicole and I met while at college at Nebraska Christian College in Omaha, NE. We attended there for four years and graduated in May 2009 and 2010. We spent two and a half years in full time local church ministry before the Lord laid the burden of campus ministry in Salt Lake City on our hearts.
Nicole and I are passionate first and foremost about God. He is everything to us and without Him we can do nothing. God has gifted us in different ways but united us in our passion for reaching college students through genuine, loving relationships. We both believe that it is our responsibility as Christ followers to make the Kingdom of God tangible to the world we live in. We desire to bless people with our time and resources as well as invest our lives into making friendships that will last and be centered around Christ. We couldn’t be more excited to be called by God into this great journey to Salt Lake City and to use our gifts for His Kingdom and glory.
In our spare time, we enjoy movies, being with our son, having people in our home eating, or just hanging out. I personally enjoy writing music with friends, playing guitar, bass or drums. I also enjoy reading as much as I can. Some of my top books would be: Crazy Love by Francis Chan, Why Revival Tarries by Leonard Ravenhill, The Tangible Kingdom by Hugh Halter and My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers.
