Impact at Boise State was started in 2005 after Bill Westfall moved to Boise and started a Bible study at the University Christian Church. That first week, 6 students attended the Tuesday night dinner and study.
Over time, the group grew in size, and in the third year, after Impact took over the leadership of a second group (Synergy, founded by Marty Tadman), nearly 100 students were gathering for dinner and Bible study every Tuesday evening.
Today the Boise State ministry is meeting at The Center (1025 Belmont Street) and is using the name Synergy. After Bill took on the role of Impact’s President (July 2010), he stepped away from leading the campus ministry and handed the ministry to The Center (led by Monty Moreland).
